Executive Assessment & Development
With our background as executive coaches, we are passionate about enabling people to fulfil their promise and contribute fully to the success of their organisations. However, we know that coaching is just one weapon in the armoury of talent development and we offer a range of services to support the broader talent agenda.
Executive and Talent Assessment
The first step in a successful talent strategy is to hire the right people in the first place and to have an objective view of the talent that you already have in the organisation. We offer a range of assessment services for evaluating external or internal candidates as part of a recruitment process and we offer assessment of internal talent for development planning (see Assessment Services page). These assessments can be tailored to suit the needs of the organisation and can be used independently or part of assessment or development centres.
We use a range of psychometric tools to support our work. We work closely with Advanced People Strategies, a supplier of psychometric tools, to ensure that we have the right tools for the project. We are appropriately trained to use a range of instruments from the Hogan suite, the SHL range of ability and personality profiles, Myers Briggs and Reflections 360. We are currently working with Prof Adrian Furnham and Ian MacRae on further developing their High Flyers’ Inventory which underpins much of the research for their book ‘High Potential - How to Spot, Manage and Develop Talented People at Work'.
Masterclasses and Seminars
We provide a range of Masterclasses which can be adapted and tailored to your organisation’s leadership and management development programmes, covering topics relating to managing self, managing teams and managing organisations (see Masterclasses page). We are also able to offer a range of seminars lead by Professor Adrian Furnham, UCL, which add academic rigour, research and insight into a range of business psychology topics.
Team Working and Offsites
As part of our coaching offering we specialise in providing team coaching, particularly in the context of broader team-building and change management programmes. In addition, we have also worked with a number of CEOs, Heads of Functions and leaders on organising their offsites and team building days with a view to improving team performance and maximising the effectiveness of the time spent together out of the office. This could involve developing strategy, action planning or enhancing team-working going forward.
Evaluation of Talent Interventions
The ‘Holy Grail’ of talent development is good evaluation and demonstrating a return on investment. To coin a phrase, "Half the money I spend on talent development is wasted; the trouble is I don't know which half”. We work with clients to understand, monitor and measure the impact of the work we and others do in the field of talent development. We use surveys, interviews and other data to measure the impact of talent interventions. There will always be an element of faith where the development of people is concerned but this can and should be combined with good measurement practices.
