Karen is a qualified executive coach and human resources consultant specialising in individual, team and organisational effectiveness. She was previously with JP Morgan for over 20 years where she spent nearly 10 years in New York in client facing roles in capital markets and asset management, and over 10 years in human resources working closely with senior management teams across all areas of HR.
Karen moved from New York to London with JP Morgan in 1998 to be Head of Human Resources for Asset Management in EMEA and then in 2001 became Head of Learning and Development. She served on the European Management Team and managed a team of eight based in London and Geneva. In her role as Head of Learning and Development she was responsible for the overall development strategy for the business in the region and delivered various programmes in a number of the firm’s offices throughout the world.
Karen has extensive experience in the areas of leadership and management at all levels, team building, performance management and employee engagement. Her in-depth understanding of the business underpins and enriches her work, and the senior managers and teams she coaches appreciate that she understands their context and the associated issues and opportunities.
Karen has completed an EMCC/ICF certified Senior Practitioner Executive Coach program at Myles Downey’s The School of Coaching in London which is equivalent to the ILM Level 7 Executive Coaching qualification.
She has a BA in Economics from Wellesley College, USA.
