Julia Possener is a lawyer by training and worked as a Corporate Finance Lawyer at Clifford Chance and Weil, Gotshal & Manges before moving to RSA Insurance Group PLC. There she worked in a number of senior legal, governance, compliance and business roles including leading the Group Secretariat function and as part of the General Counsel leadership team. Julia was part of the executive leadership team for the international businesses.
Julia undertook a career change in 2011, completing the Coaching for Organisational Consultants course at Ashridge Business School. Executive Coaching is now a cornerstone of her activity, and her clients tell her that she provides powerful access to the ‘tools of the trade’ she acquired from her own experience of succeeding in competitive working environments.
Julia’s approach is supportive and empathetic, providing an open environment for her clients to explore their issues and opportunities and to take action around what is important for them. Julia is comfortable working with people at all levels. She is interested in supporting women in leadership positions, aware of the additional challenges, internal and external, that they often face. Julia is also a non-executive director of an NHS trust.
Julia studied at the LSE before taking a conversion course at the College of Law, London. She is qualified to use MBTI Step I materials in her coaching practice.
